Jeff Cannata - Music Composer
I would like to introduce a new song and video True Voice that reflects our difficult times. It gave me goosebumps watching it! I must add that I had the honour of being part of this project as lyricist. It has been a fantastic venture working with two legends of the prog/art rock/movie music world. The music was written, produced and arranged by Americans Jeff Cannata & Chris Field. Video and editing by Jeff Cannata @ Oxford Circus Records. (See further credits below.) Check out their pages on the links and see the magnitude of these dynamo music composers. But before you get there, I will try to provide a brief description.
Jeff Cannata is a musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He was founder and driving force behind progressive rock band Jasper Wrath. In 1983, he and Michael Soldan started Arc Angel (signed by CBS Records). Jeff was their lead singer/frontman and guitarist. They created some stunning work (see his website). Jeff made some solo albums under the name Cannata, including Images of Forever (CBS Records, 1988) and Watching the World (1993). He also produced several bands and managed his independent record label Oxford Circus Records. In 2002, he released a new album with Arc Angel, followed by a new solo album, Mysterium Magnum in 2006. Since then he has never stopped making music and is now in the studio writing and recording new material for film and trailer music projects. His musical tapestry is wide and varied, with his artistic talent now including the creation of some amazing videos.
Chris Field’s accomplishments are also incredibly impressive and the list is so long it is easier to send you to his site and Wikipedia! Chris Field is a Los Angeles-based composer, songwriter, producer and musician. He has been recognised for having started a new direction in cinematic music. His music has appeared in numerous films and countless television shows. Plus he has composed many movie theatrical trailers such as X-Men, Harry Potter, Austen Powers, Terminator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings and so on. He is the composer of “Gothic Power” the main theme for the Lord of the Rings film series which was later used for Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds trailer and Ben Stiller’s Tropic Thunder.
