Empty Sky - New Song by Colin Mold & Cindy L Spear.
Happy New Year!
A new song! Music, vocals, video by UK composer Colin Mold. Lyrics: Cindy L Spear. This is part of a current project (novel 1 of 3) based on one of my characters. Colin Mold created this lovely video of our song collaboration. Empty Sky is a teaser trailer for the story that includes a Canadian Irish sailor caught in a storm off the east coast of United States. He is washed ashore and awakens without memory of who he is and the people he has left behind. Hope you watch and enjoy it! More details on the Trilogy will follow in time.
But I can share a link to a new song for Book 2 set on the English Moors inspired by Emily Bronte’s novel: Wuthering Heights. To hear Passing Through: Go here!
A little background on UK Composer, Vocalist, Multi-instrumentalist Colin Mold:
He is founding member of folk-rock band KARA and past touring member of the well known prog rock band KARNATAKA. He also released three solo albums: Water of Divinity, Girl on the Castle Steps and Now You See Me. Along with his own writing, the latter two CDs include a number of Cindy L Spear’s lyrics. Plus on the Castle CD there’s an appearance by Irish piper/Irish whistle musician Martin Nolan of IONA.
“Colin Mold, is a musician that understands mood, melody and atmosphere by relying on a profound sense of melancholia, as well as the classic instrumentations that bedeck the legendary British progressive folk music scene.” (Prog Archives)
Reviews of Girl on the Castle Steps:
“Shimmering halos of ethereal sounds find words wrapped in elegant beauty.” (Prog Archives)
“When you are in the mood for an intricately crafted set of songs that carries you away on sumptuous melodies and evocative imagery, then you’ll find the memorable music that Colin Mold lovingly creates to be a most wonderful escape from everyday life.” Steven Reid (Rocktopia)
Review of Now You See Me:
“The quality of the material is off the charts, a truly magnificent set of songs. Another gorgeous and highly quixotic musical adventure, the real Colin Mold has shown himself again.” Thomas Szirmay (Prog Archives).
